UAW LOCAL 1112 SCHOLARSHIPS:  The UAW Local 1112 scholarship applications for the 2011 – 2012 academic year are now available at the Union Hall, on the UAW Local 1112 website (under the "Forms" tab), in the upcoming issues of the “See Here”, in front of the People’s Store and in the People’s Store when it is open.

This year we are awarding eight $1,000.00 scholarships.  The scholarships will be dispersed as follows:  Youngstown State University two, Kent State University two, The University of Akron two, and two At-large scholarships.  The two At-large scholarships are for any accredited college or university other than the three aforementioned institutions.  There is a separate application for the At-large scholarships.  The At-large scholarship recipients will be determined by random drawings.  The winners of the other scholarships will be selected by the universities based on predetermined criteria.  Completed applications must be postmarked on or by May 28, 2011 in order to be considered.  Good luck to all the applicants.
