The Community Services Committee sponsored a YDC Valentine’s Day Party on Friday February 18th. A great time was had by all as we crowned the king and queen and danced to the tunes from DJ Dominic Tromboli. As always, a big thank you to John and Cheryl Woodworth at Pizza Joe's on the west side of Youngstown for the special rates and good eats.
It is time for the March of Dimes fund raiser again. March of Dimes - March for Babies is a wonderful organization that raises money to aid premature babies and their families with research, treatments, support etc. We will be having a bowl-a-thon Saturday, April 16th at Camelot Lanes in Warren. Start getting your teams together for a day of a little competition and a lot of fun raising money for a great cause.
The March for Babies walk will be at the Austintown Park again this year on Sunday May 15th. You can sign up to walk on line or with any CSC member. Come join your UAW/GM team for a great family fun day. There will be games for the kids, food and music to dance or walk to.
We would like to have a local ambassador for March for Babies this year. If you have been a recipient of March of Dimes we would love to hear your story and share it with our brothers and sisters if that would be ok. Please call the union hall by April 8th. and leave a message for Karen Eusanio.
Mark your calendars. The Care-n-Share Circle of Friends poker run will be Saturday, August 20th. We will be pre-registering this year as well as registration the day of.
