The duties of the Civil & Human Rights Committee are:

The Civil Rights Committee shall consist of at least five (5) members. They shall promote fair employment practices and endeavor to eliminate discrimination affecting the welfare of the members of the Local Union, the International Union, the Labor Movement and the Nation. In the case of discrimination within the plant, the Chairman of the Civil Rights Committee and the Bargaining Committee shall attemp to jointly meet with Management in an effort to resolve the issues. In the event such discrimination issues are not thereby resolved, the Civil Rights Committee shall report to the proper state agency.
